The new Fantastic Four movie is one of the most highly anticipated Marvel films coming up.

New Fantastic Four Movie Release Date

The new Fantastic Four movie is scheduled to hit theatres on July 25, 2025. It was originally supposed to come out on November 8, 2024, but it got delayed. Fans will have to wait a little bit longer than expected to see the First Family back in action, but at least now we have an official release date!

Filming is expected to start in Spring 2024 in London. So it will likely wrap up filming in late 2024 before its 2025 premiere.

New Fantastic Four Movie Trailer

Unfortunately, there is no trailer yet for the upcoming Fantastic Four film. We’ll likely get a teaser trailer 6-8 months before release, so potentially in late 2024.

Once the first Fantastic Four trailer drops, it is sure to get a ton of views online as fans get their first look at the new actors in action and the tone of the film! Until then, we’ll keep scouring the internet for any leaks, sneak peeks or hints about the movie.

Make sure to keep checking back for the epic day when the new Fantastic Four trailer finally arrives! It will offer the first real footage from this highly anticipated Marvel movie.

New Fantastic Four Movie Cast

The cast of the new Fantastic Four movie was revealed by Marvel on Valentine’s Day 2024! Here is the amazing lineup of actors bringing these iconic characters to life Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic, Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm/Invisible Woman,  Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm/Human Torch, Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm/The Thing.

Some fans were hoping John Krasinski would play Mr. Fantastic again after his cameo as a variant Reed in Doctor Strange 2. But it looks like Marvel decided to go a different direction with Pedro Pascal in the role for their core universe version of the Fantastic Four.

Either way, this is an amazing cast and the perfect choice to bring Marvel’s First Family into the MCU!

New Fantastic Four Movie Plot

No official plot details have been revealed yet for the storyline of the new Fantastic Four film. We’ll have to wait for more leaks or an official synopsis down the road.

But we can make some educated guesses about what the film’s plot might include based on some comments from Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige. He has said this won’t be another Fantastic Four origin story, since audiences are very familiar with how they get their powers already.

So it seems like the new Fantastic Four movie will feature the team already with their abilities, taking on some new threat. There are lots of classic Fantastic Four villains the movie could use like Doctor Doom, Mole Man, Annihilus, or Galactus and the Silver Surfer.

We’ll just have to be patient for more details on the plot to start leaking out online as production ramps up!

Who is Directing the New Fantastic Four Movie?

Matt Shakman is directing the new Fantastic Four movie for Marvel. Shakman is best known for directing the Marvel Disney+ series WandaVision.

Originally, Jon Watts was supposed to direct Fantastic Four. But in April 2022 he stepped down from the project because he wanted to take a break from superhero films after directing the Tom Holland Spider-Man trilogy.

With Watts exiting, Marvel tapped Shakman to take over helming the film. Shakman has proven he can handle superheroes with WandaVision, so fans are excited to see his vision for the First Family.

Fantastic Four Future: Sequels, Disney+ Shows, Crossovers

Now that the Fantastic Four are going to debut in their movie, it’s only natural to wonder what could come next for Marvel’s First Family. There are lots of possibilities!

If the 2025 film is a hit, then you can expect Marvel will green light Fantastic Four sequels. The FF have enough iconic villains and stories to anchor their franchise within the MCU.

We could also see some members of the team appear in MCU Disney+ shows to link up with other heroes before another team-up movie. Imagine seeing Human Torch bantering with Spider-Man or She-Hulk!

And further down the road, an Avengers vs. Fantastic Four crossover event would truly be epic! Seeing Earth’s Mightiest Heroes face off against Marvel’s First Family would be a comic book fan’s dream.

The future is looking bright for Mr. Fantastic, the Invisible Woman, the Human Torch, and The Thing. The new Fantastic Four movie is only the beginning of them becoming key players in the Marvel Cinematic Universe for years to come!

After years of waiting, fans are finally getting the Fantastic Four in the MCU! This superhero squad has endured multiple attempted reboots over the decades. But now with Marvel Studios guiding the ship, expectations are sky-high for them to deliver a truly amazing Fantastic Four film.

The newly announced cast seems pitch-perfect to bring these characters to life. And while the plot is still a mystery, there are endless possibilities from the comics to translate to the big screen. The First Family could shake up the MCU in amazing ways when they stretch, shield, flame on, and clobber their way into theatres in 2025!
