Kung Fu Panda 4 Release Date

Kung Fu Panda 4 is set for release on March 8, 2024. This comes nearly 8 years after 2016’s Kung Fu Panda 3, the previous film in the series.

The Kung Fu Panda sequel was first announced in 2022. Its March release date puts it up against the sci-fi epic Dune: Part Two, making for big competition. But fans are thrilled to see Po back in theatres again.

Kung Fu Panda 4 Trailer

The first Kung Fu Panda 4 trailer dropped one month ago, giving a glimpse at the sequel’s story. It shows Po leaving the Valley of Peace for a new adventure in a big city, where he faces his most fearsome foe yet – the villainous Chameleon.

A new Super Bowl teaser trailer featured more humour and action, further hyping the long-awaited new Kung Fu Panda movie.

Kung Fu Panda 4 Plot and Story

In Kung Fu Panda 4, Po has become an accomplished kung fu master. But now he must find the next Dragon Warrior to take his place as defender of the Valley of Peace.

While seeking a successor, Po also strives to become the Valley’s spiritual leader. However, the dangerous sorceress Chameleon threatens his quest. She can transform into anyone and seeks to steal the powers of Po’s past enemies.

Po is joined by a new ally, Zhen, a crafty fox who may help lead him to the Chameleon. But with her own mysterious agenda, can Po trust her? Facing his greatest challenge yet, Po needs all his kung fu skills to defeat the Chameleon and secure the Valley’s future.

Kung Fu Panda 4 Cast

Jack Black returns to voice Po in Kung Fu Panda 4. Several other original cast members are also back Dustin Hoffman as Shifu, Angelina Jolie as Tigress, Seth Rogen as Mantis and Lucy Liu as Viper,

New additions include Awkwafina as Zhen, Ke Huy Quan as Han and Viola Davis as Chameleon

While the Furious Five returns, the sequel focuses more on Po’s journey away from the Valley of Peace.

Kung Fu Panda 4 Director

Kung Fu Panda 4 is directed by Mike Mitchell, best known for animated films like Trolls and The Lego Movie 2. He previously consulted on the first Kung Fu Panda.

Co-directing is Stephanie Stine, who has worked on DreamWorks projects like How to Train Your Dragon 3. Their combined experience promises an exciting new Kung Fu Panda chapter.

Kung Fu Panda 4 Writer and Producer

The Kung Fu Panda 4 screenplay comes from Jonathan Aibel and Glenn Berger, writers of the previous three films.

Rebecca Huntley produces the sequel. She has been with DreamWorks since 2009, working on hits like How to Train Your Dragon 2.
