Fast and Furious 11

Fast and Furious 11 Release Date, Trailer, Cast, Plot and Everything We Know

The Fast and Furious film franchise is one of the most popular and successful in Hollywood history. With 10 films released so far since 2001, the action-packed movies about illegal street racing, heists and spies have grossed over $6 billion worldwide.

Fast and Furious fans are eager to find out details regarding the upcoming 11th instalment in the series, officially titled Fast and Furious 11. Here’s everything we know so far about Fast and Furious 11’s release date, trailer, cast, plot and more.

Fast and Furious 11 Release Date

Fast and Furious 11 is scheduled to release in theatres on April 4, 2025. The sequel was originally going to be released on April 3, 2024, but got delayed by a year likely due to production slowing down during the Hollywood strikes in 2023.

Filming will probably start around April 2024 to meet the April 2025 release date. That gives the cast and crew a whole year to shoot the movie.

Fast and Furious 11 Trailer

Since filming hasn’t started yet, there’s no Fast and Furious 11 trailer available to watch currently. We’ll likely get our first sneak peek at the footage later in 2024 once principal photography begins.

Hopefully, the trailer provides some answers as to how Dominic Toretto and his crew managed to survive the huge cliffhanger ending in Fast and Furious 10 (2023). The hype will be big whenever Universal drops a trailer for one of its highest-grossing franchises.

Fast and Furious 11 Cast

No official Fast and Furious 11 cast announcements have been made yet by Universal Pictures. However, we can speculate on which Fast and Furious veterans will return based on who survived Fast and Furious 10 include Vin Diesel as Dominic Toretto,  Michelle Rodriguez as Letty Ortiz, Tyrese Gibson as Roman Pearce, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges as Tej Parker, Nathalie Emmanuel as Ramsey and Sung Kang as Han Seoul-Oh.

Other likely returnees include Charlize Theron as the villainous Cipher, Helen Mirren as Magdalene Shaw and Scott Eastwood as Little Nobody.

New additions to the Fast and Furious crew in Fast and Furious 10 included Jason Momoa as the villain Dante and Brie Larson as Tess. It is not confirmed if Jason Momoa will be back in Fast and Furious 11 or not.

There’s also a chance original Fast and Furious star Paul Walker gets incorporated into the story somehow, whether through flashbacks, unused footage or visual effects magic. His character Brian O’Conner was last seen driving off into the sunset with Mia Toretto and their son at the end of 2015’s Furious 7.

Fast and Furious 11 Plot

Details are scarce on the plot for the 11th Fast and Furious film. The ending of Fast X set up some cliffhangers and villain twists, so those storylines will likely carry over.

Viewers can expect the crew of Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel) to face new threats. Former villain Cipher (Charlize Theron) is still lurking. A mysterious organization led by Aimes (Alan Ritchson) has sinister plans. And the lethal Dante (Jason Momoa) is on the attack.

Family and loyalty have always been major Fast and Furious themes. So Dom’s crew will come together to take on enemies and protect each other. Expect some tragedy and loss too, high-stakes action, and maybe some surprise returning characters.

Final Thought

While details are still sparse, Fast and Furious fans have a lot to look forward to in 2025’s Fast and Furious 11. The action franchise has defied logic and physics for 20+ years, so we’re sure they can creatively move the story forward after that doozy of a cliffhanger ending in Fast and Furious 10.

Once filming starts and more concrete news begins dropping, audiences will have a better sense of what insanity is in store for Dominic Toretto’s crew in the 11th Fast and Furious instalment. But if the past is any indication, Fast and Furious 11 will feature over-the-top action sequences and exhilarating racing that keeps fans wanting even more speed.
