Moto Guzzi Stelvio

2024 Moto Guzzi Stelvio Review: Specifications and Price

The new 2024 Moto Guzzi Stelvio adventure touring motorcycle was recently unveiled at the EICMA show in Milan. This iconic Italian brand has completely redesigned its flagship adventure bike with modern features and technology.

A Fresh New Look for Moto Guzzi

The Moto Guzzi Stelvio gets a fresh new look for 2024, with sleek and modern styling. The LED headlight incorporates the Eagle logo, paying homage to Moto Guzzi’s iconic emblem. Two small wind deflectors on the side help divert wind away from the rider. The bike will be available in two matte colour options: Giallo Savana (yellow) or Nero Vulcano (black).

Overall, the new Moto Guzzi Stelvio has a very sleek and modern design, representing a new era for Moto Guzzi as they move into the 21st century. It retains some classic Guzzi styling cues but the overall shape and design are thoroughly modern.

Powerful and Flexible V-Twin Engine

The new Moto Guzzi Stelvio is powered by the 1,042cc liquid-cooled V-twin engine first seen in the Moto Guzzi V100 Mandello. This DOHC 8-valve motor is a huge step forward from Guzzi’s previous air-cooled engines. The new motor is designed to be compact, powerful and flexible.

Moto Guzzi claims 115 hp at 8,700 rpm and 77 lb-ft of torque at 6,750 rpm. Even more impressive is the fact that over 80% of max torque is available from just 3,500 rpm, highlighting the engine’s flexibility. It’s a big leap forward for Guzzi in terms of refinement and performance.

Advanced Electronics and Rider Aids

The Stelvio ushers Moto Guzzi into the modern era not just with its engine but its electronics suite. It comes standard with a Marelli 11MP control unit, ride-by-wire throttle, traction control, cornering ABS, and cruise control.

There are 5 selectable ride modes: Sport, Road, Touring, Rain, and Off-Road. These modes tailor the power delivery, engine braking, ABS, and traction control settings to suit different riding scenarios.

As an optional extra, Moto Guzzi’s advanced “PFF Rider Assistance Solution” will also be available, bringing radar-based safety features to the Stelvio for the first time.

Capable Chassis and Suspension

Moto Guzzi designed an all-new tubular steel trellis frame specifically for the new Stelvio and V100 Mandello. The engine is a stressed member, with 8 mounting points for enhanced rigidity. The suspension consists of a 46mm Sachs USD fork and a KYB rear shock with 6.7 inches of travel at both ends.

The riding position is upright and comfortable, with a tall and wide handlebar providing excellent leverage when riding off-road. The 2.8-inch adjustable windscreen, side deflectors, comfortable seat and cruise control make this an ideal motorcycle for touring as well.

Modern Adventure Capabilities

With its 19-inch front and 17-inch rear spoked wheels, the new Moto Guzzi Stelvio is ready to take on a wide range of adventures. While not a hardcore off-roader, it strikes a balance between on-road comfort and real off-road capability.

The excellent chassis and suspension provide stability and bump absorption even when the road turns to gravel. With a competitive electronics package and strong engine performance, the new Stelvio promises to be a very capable adventure touring motorcycle straight from the factory.

Moto Guzzi Stelvio Pricing

The 2024 Moto Guzzi Stelvio starts at USD 16,390, making it a premium offering in the middleweight adventure category. Available colours include Giallo Savana and Nero Vulcano.

This new adventure bike from Moto Guzzi provides a great combination of character, charm, technology and performance. For riders seeking a unique Italian take on modern adventure motorcycling, the 2024 Stelvio hits the mark. Expect to see this stylish ADV in dealerships later this year.
